What a crazy week this has been. I had my cast off on Monday, my leg is now free!! When the cast came off all the skin on my leg was peeling off and the colour of my leg was a really dark red colour. It’s not pleasant. Monday night and all say Tuesday was very painful and I didn’t move much. The swelling is still there.
It’s now Thursday and things are finally starting to get a little easier. I can put a bit of weight on it now so walking is a lot better. I think I’ll be able to ditch the crutches before long! Yay
Well last was an ordeal. My brother was walking his dogs on a park near where we live, when Tabby ran off and wouldn’t come back. Before long Andy realised that he couldn’t find her and began the search. He managed to recruit 8 people to help look for her but by this time it was pitch black and there where no street lights on the park to help. My brother went home to make some signs to stick up around the local area and about 11 o’clock they gave up the search for the night. I felt so useless that I couldn’t do anything to help, due to being on crutches there was nothing I could do.
No one got any sleep last night, I was up until about 4, my parents were awake from about 3, Andy, Nic and her mum couldn’t sleep either. Even my grandma had a restless night through worry. I just kept thinking of Tabby out there in the dark all on her own, scared, cold and wet.
Nic’s mum lives in a house right next to the park and at half past 4 this morning she got up to go to the bathroom and noticed that Tabby was sat by the door. She was very cold and wet but at least she was safe. Andy says that he went straight round to pick her up and when he got her home she ran upstairs, got on the bed and fell straight to sleep. Andy is going to the pet shop tonight to buy her a flashing light collar although he says she’s never coming off her lead again!!
Today, due to last nights activities of the wondering pooch, I am so tiered I really can’t function on 2 hours sleep before going to work. My eyes just want to close no matter how much I don’t want them too! I think everyone will sleep well tonight!!
I went for a drink last night with a friend of mine, Ema. We used to work together at blockbuster and stayed friends after we both left. We don’t see each other that often but when we do its just like we see each other every day. We spent some time catching up and then got down to business, so to speak. We have decided to start our diets together. We have opted for the G.I Diet. In theory this diet sounds really good. You can eat most things and the idea of it is that you never go hungry. I need to buy a book so I know what I can and can’t eat and all the technical bits I need to know. We are going to meet each week to swap tips and see how well we are doing, and I guess it’s a good excuse to have a good old girly chat as well! I need to go shopping and get some food in for the diet so as soon as I get going properly I will keep this updated and I may even start a bit of a food diary to keep track of things.
Well I must get back to work and start arranging some meetings for when my leg is all better. I have so many people I need to see and I am losing about on valuable field time!!
Until next time…
So Glad Andy fouond the dog! phew!!!
Hope the leg gets back to normal soon! I bet its weird having the pot off afer all this time isnt it??
